Gail Karlsson is an environmental lawyer, now focusing on nature writing and photography. She grew up in New York City and has had an apartment across from City Hall in lower Manhattan for over 40 years. She is the author of books about ‘Meeting Trees in City Hall Park’ and ‘A Bird’s Guide to The Battery’.
Gail also spends much of her time on the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands, where she has written three books: ‘Looking For Birds On St. John’, ‘Learning About Trees and Plants – A Project of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of St. John’, and ‘The Wild Life in an Island House’.
